of Mathematics” The presentation will address
the common shortcuts and abbreviations that mathematics uses that can create
confusion if they are not understood or communicated. It will also try
to relate many different mathematical procedures to a single underlying element.

Oakes and Brian Koczan “The Components of a
Successful Co-Req Course” Explains the three different
pieces that we have woven together in the Math 080 course to help our
students to be successful in their college level course. We will
explain and show examples of each component as well as share data on
students’ responses to these different resources and their success
